Sweet! Finally I have my own scanner, thus, I can scan all my stuff in the nick of time. :P
No, you need a passport to borrow my scanner. Muahaha.
Anyway, sketches sketches!

My flame and baby tree sketch practice is also here as you can see.
Alright, time for symbol explanation!
Baby & flame 1 - As you can see, it's a candle-baby. Fire represents the global warming heat fire thingie, yeah you get it. As for the baby-shaped candle, basically it shows the baby is being burnt and melting bit by bit. Our future generation will take the suffering, and will die out 1 by 1 if we don't do something. As for the baby's hands, they're clutching on together, bearing the heat and suffering for what we are doing.
Baby & flame 2 - My original 1st idea on the symbol, a baby crying due to being burnt. As mentioned, fire = global warming, and the baby, crying due to suffering the heat and sicknesses caused by global warming. Hand clutching together due to pain, suffering, bearing it all, and in a position in such a way that will make us think, "will they stand up and make it and fight global warming? Or will they fall back down and give up, forever?"
Baby & flame 3 - Something like baby & flame 2, only that the baby (future generation) gives up and dies off, not fighting the heat. Human will extinct if we don't do anything. Mostly sadistic and a direct message/scolding to the world.
Girl, guy, love, tree - A happy symbol for once, as I said, I took up Mdm. Koo's advice and did something less dramatic and scary since everyone is opting for that option, and basically represents little boy and girl of our future generation, holding up a tree, smiling and helping to save the world by planting more greens on the earth, with a heart to show their love for the world, and a string connecting them to show their bondings and their unity. :D
I did do a small, sketchy sketchy of baby & flame 1 on Adobe Illustrator for a bit.

You can say it's a rough sketch with Illustrator. I will re-do it if Mdm. Koo approves.
Until then, ta ta!
This is, so far my sketch and practice for babies. I did it in such a cutesy, innocent, baby-ish way to show that they ARE, in fact, innocent, and we should be ashamed of ourselves for letting them suffer for what we are doing now.
Will they be able to turn the world around for the better?
If they can't, what would happen to THEM?
Example : The symbol of the baby laying down on it's back. Will it be able to stand up and endure/change global warming? If not, what would befallen upon them?
I am to do a symbol on the topic - Global Warming, and I am to search for a smaller sub-topic to draw a symbol on, and to search for reference pictures.
I have decided on "The future generations", as in, what is the effect of Global Warming towards our future generations, our kids, the ones who are suppose to continue on living in the world. What will happen to them? Do you want them to suffer for what we are doing now?
Okay, I better not rant on or this whole post will be very angsty and out-of-topic. Anyway, here are some reference pictures I found and may use them for my symbol.

A baby is the best representative of the future generation, so I decided to use it as a part of my symbol. It is innocent and doesn't know what's going on in the world.
As for the second object that I thought of combining into as a symbol, a flame. Flame represents hotness, burning of global warming. Warning, warning, building on fire, please evacuate...

UPDATE...
I got a wee-bit of advice from Mdm Koo during tutorial lesson last week, and got a new idea for my new symbol sketch.
Baby trees!
Only 1 reference pic used, though...

Well, hullo there. I'm Charlene. Like yeah, eeeeeveeerybody knows that. -rolls eyes- Anyway, if you're reading this later on, I'm in my 1st semester for foundation (alpha level) in Creative Multimedia, and this blog is for my progress in Computer Graphics.
Yes. I'm kinda like the odd one out. I'm from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. I love love love and can't get enough of drawing since I started to doodle fan comics from Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and Cartoon Network cartoons when I was 9. Then, I wanted to learn more, I wanted to discover and learn every little thing in art, including music and actressing. Sadly, I wasn't that much exposed to those parts, but more to drawing. Anyway, enough of that. I'd probably bore you to tears already by now.
I'm a Buddhist, and my birthday's on the 28th of December. I may look like I'm half malay-half chinese but nope, I'm Sino-Dusun, which means I'm somewhat like 3/4 Chinese and 1/4 Dusun. I'm listed as a Capricorn but hor, trust me, I'm nothing like one. For one, I'm NOT hardworking, I'm a lazy person by nature, juuuuuust like Ran. LOL (Sorry Ran, can't help it, must promote you LOL) and that well yeah, I'm not as elegant-like or sophisticated like a capricorn. I'm hyperactive, childish, sarcastic, insane, happy-go-lucky, optimistic (to a stupid level at times) and friends described me as hip-hoppy/funky.
PS : you DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT want to get close to me when my insane-short-temper is triggered. Then again, I tend to sleep when I'm in a bad mood so I don't kill anyone. :p
I love chocolates, chocolate is my life, but please, THE CHOCOLATE MUST BE PURE MILK/WHITE CHOCOLATE WITH ABSOLUTELY NO FILLINGS INSIDE, GOT THAT? XD so is spaghetti carbonara and candies. I love dresses, I look so adult-ish and elegant in them, then again, which girl doesn't? Also, I love listening to music, western food, drawing (obviously) and I'm almost an otaku, i love anime/manga - a lot. I love my friends, I love chatting online/hanging out with them. Shopping = love when I have the money and yeah, there's more to the list but I'm only listing out my favourites here. Oh, did I mention I love playing in the arcades? You don't see girls my age liking the arcades anymore, do you? >=) The only thing that seperates me from being like any normal girls is that I love playing in the arcade and that I LOVE ONLINE GAMES. Such as O2jam, MapleStory, GunBound, DotA etc etc etc... ;D
What do I hate? I hate vegetable. Please do not FORCE THAT GREEN SUBSTANCE DOWN MY THROAT ANYMORE, THAT GOES FOR YOU TOO, EDDY IZUWAN. I also hate bitter foods, scary/unknown strangers, yes they tend to scare me, especially when they're too close for comfort. I hate noobish, stupid, uncivillized, moronic, snobbish and pampered MMORPG players, art thieves, unconstructive criticisms/insults, they don't help me to get better in my art, thank you for your stupidity. I also hate having headaches because it's annoying especially when you're concentrating or having a good time, and don't ever get me involved in politics unless you want me to start screaming bloody murder.
Well, there, you have a biography of me. :> Feel free to befriend me, I don't bite, well, mostly.
PS : Yes I have bit people on their hand/arm. Ask Eddy, or Randy. LOL.
